Proprietor - Billy Rizzo

In 1998, Billy brought the "family business" to Lubbock.  He opened Stella's Restaurant & Deli on 14th street across from Texas Tech. With Mama Stella's help, he was up and running and in 2001 he purchased, completely renovated and moved the restaurant to the Steak & Ale building at 50th and Utica. (Pictured 2nd from left.)

Executive Chef - John Ventura

Ventura, a graduate of the School of Culinary Arts in Fort Lauderdale, has worked in restaurants from New Jersey to Florida to the southern Caribbean island of Curacao. The skill Ventura has acquired in his culinary career is apparent in every dish, but a key trait of his emerges at Stella’s: a subtle creativity that keeps his food approachable and delightfully edible.
